Analyst / consultant in Point Carbon Research & Advisory department - Oslo
Point Carbon, the world-leading provider of news and analysis for the carbon and energy markets, is looking to add a quantitatively oriented analyst to the R&A department in Oslo.
The Position The successful candidate will be working as an analyst in Point Carbon’s Research & Advisory department. The position is based in Oslo. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participation in a team of consultants and researchers
- Participation in internal and external projects within energy/environmental markets, especially with investments in mind
- Conduct research and analyses to be presented in reports for clients active in the global carbon market, especially the EU ETS
- Development of financial and statistical models and frameworks to be used in consultancy projects
- Some travelling must be expected
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum Master degree or similar degree from university, for example in industrial economics and technology management or finance
- Minimum 1-2 years professional experience within energy/environmental markets (preferably with experience in renewable energy)
- Good writing skills for documents and reports
- Advanced user of Excel with good numerical analysis and modelling skills
- Fluent communication skills, both written and oral, in English. Other languages is an advantage
- You are analytical by nature and your work is recognised by structure and high quality
